I think I should share this wonderful video with everyone, the theme of this video is about “green interior design, energy efficient and nature healthy furniture” as it shows you a new green way to build a house. Here is a cool widget showing current CO2 levels. For every person who cares about the planet, you may want to keep an eye on it.
The world’s most current data for atmospheric CO2 comes from measurements at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii. These high-precision measurements were started by Dave Keeling in March 1958, now published by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) within a week after each month ends. Measurements are taken with high precision instruments at a remote location where CO2 is well mixed in the atmosphere, more than two miles above sea level.
Over years, the rising level of CO2 has contributed to the problem of global warming. When CO2 is rising in the atmosphere, we can expect global warming and climate change trends to worsen.
People who care about “green” think about it all the time. Even when you watch the firework on Independence Day, you should still have “green” in mind.
1: You should ride a bike , walk or take the bus to watch the fireworks. I know you want to drive, but think about the congested traffic and how crowded the place would be.
2: If you are gonna have a party with your pal and family, don’t forget to bottles.
3: Do not leave anything at the place where you watch the fireworks
4: Simply you can just stay at home and watch the fireworks on your favorite HDTV

More and more furniture vendors and stores are expanding their eco-friendly product lines. Interior designer Laura Birns plans launch an eco-friendly home furnishings line that using only certified renewable green resources.
I see this as a very positive step taken by the Birns, who opener her interior design firm back in 1985. Comparing to the old product, new items will be using eco-friendly materials to preserve air quality. KB Homes reveals their dedication to eco-friendly efforts by showcasing environmentally friendly recyclable carpets for all its new homes. Different from other types of carpets, these carpets are made of Nylon 6. In case you are not familiar with Nylon 6, it is the only material that can be continuously recycled into dyeable carpet fiber. You can not find better ones.
Every home that uses recycled carpet fiber saves approximately 108 cubic feet of landfill space and also prevents emissions equivalent to 1,700 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) All of these new integrated carpets will be offered in the KB Homes lineup starting June 30.
Well, at first glance, this Monroe Geo bed from Modloft looks really cool and places like Bedzine Blog recommended it to customers. I believe if it is under $1000, most people will probably buy it. (this bed is selling at $1575 at exclusivelyhome )
However, what you don’t know about this bed is that it broke very easily. According to our eco team research, 7 out of 10 customers had damaged bed when this bed arrived their homes and therefore they have to ask for replacements. It costs both end customers and the merchant. Up to this point, as we know, some online stores have discontinued this item and hopefully others will realize it soon. The price of this bed ranges from $1200 - $1600, so it is not cheap at all. So warn your friends and other shoppers you may know that plans to buy this bed.
As you may or may not know, Bamboo usually grows 10 times faster than trees and thus it is an increasing popular choice for consumers. If you think you need to sacrifice the sleeking design and stunning look of your furniture if you choose Bamboo, you are wrong. As what i have seen, furniture made from bamboo looks fantastic. However, there are few sites currently dedicated to selling bamboo furniture, the following sites are worthing looking at if you considering bamboo furniture:

From the domain itself, we can pretty much tell that it carries a wide selection of bamboo furniture including dining tables, chairs and rugs. This site has bamboo flooring and bamboo living room and home deco accessories. You can order directly from this site. Again, this site is not perfect as there are not much choices available. I tested the living room category and there are only a few items to choose from.

This site does not have a professional design and it is dedicated to the bamboo bedroom furniture such as Bamboo double bed and Bamboo four poster bed. The biggest problem with this site is that you can not add stuff to a shopping cart and to order directly online, you have to remember the product code. This is totally not user-friendly and i doubt if the owner if this site makes any money out of the site.
We often take nature valuable products for granted such as clean water and timber. The questions is that how can we repay nature so we can continue to enjoy these benefits. While individuals like you and me are making efforts, big companies like Coca-Cola and Marriott are doing their parts as well. Coca-Cola has an expansive global program to protect and generate fresh water in unorthodox way. Marriott is thinking of a program that would help preserve forests in the Amazon.
Now the world’s coffee giant ventured into the world of ecosystem services with its longtime partner - Conservation International. Basically, they reward the coffee farmers who follows the best environmental and social practices so that Starbucks can help protect the land surrounding places where coffee is grown. Here’s how the project would work: Starbucks will finance Conservation International’s efforts to work with local partners and coffee growers to protect the landscapes around the coffee growing areas. The growers, on their own or in partnership with local governments, would agree to preserve forests as they are or to replant trees. They would then become eligible, in today’s world, to seek carbon credits from companies that are voluntarily offsetting their emissions. (Many companies now do so, among them Yahoo (YHOO, Fortune 500), Google (GOOG, Fortune 500) and News Corp. (NWS, Fortune 500))
Turning your room to green doesn’t always cost you more than thousand dollars. You can be even half way there by spending less than a hundred bucks. Thinking of buying eco friendly bedroom and living room pieces is a good start, but even before that, you can just start by getting a eco friendly wallpaper. Why not!! I guess most people do not like toxic fumes and the smell of paints as it can be dangerous and is not good for our health.
